Jesse Lear is the 2014 SBA Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. He is Co-Founder of V.I.P. Waste Services, a Columbus-based company that contracts with apartment communities to provide doorstep trash & recycling pickup as a luxury amenity. Since its launch in 2010, the company has become highly profitable with more than 20 employees and operations in multiple cities. In 2014, V.I.P. Waste was recognized at the United Nations as one of the top 100 companies in the U.S. run by entrepreneurs under age 35 (Empact100) and named one of the Top 30 Startups To Watch by Entrepreneur magazine. Speaking engagements have included such audiences as TEDx, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and multiple colleges and universities. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys exploring the Columbus restaurant scene, hosting parties for his friends, and mentoring aspiring young entrepreneurs.
